According to the roaster, this coffee comes from farmers in Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountains who are part of the farmer-owned and governed Busongora North Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative. The roaster reports that more than 500 families participate as small share contributors and that registered farmers are assigned identification numbers for farm-level traceability. The coffee is received, sorted, and processed at two primary wash stations near participating farms, then dry milled in Kasese and prepared for export.
