Papua New Guinea Coffee Growing Regions

Papua New Guinea Coffee Origins Map

Papua New Guinea's coffee-growing regions are located in the Eastern Highlands, Western Highlands, and Simbu provinces, at elevations between 1,300 and 1,900 meters. Coffee is grown in some of the world's most remote and pristine environments, often by small family farms and village cooperatives using traditional, organic methods.

PNG coffee shares some characteristics with Indonesian coffees (full body, earthy notes) while also displaying bright acidity and fruit flavors more typical of African coffees — creating a unique profile that's distinctly its own.
